At the tail end of Paris Fashion Week, the Prague-born breakout star takes Document along to their fittings at the Hôtel Le Marois

At the tail end of Paris Fashion Week was Miu Miu’s Fall/Winter 2023 show—a collection of layered, neutral looks. The garments were markedly simple, yet still youthful and subversive, in accordance with the label’s tradition. For the presentation’s models, it was the grand finale to a month spent at castings and fittings and parties, jetting between fashion’s most innovative cities.

Maty Drazek, the Prague-born breakout star, captured the lead-up to the show for Document—trying on Miuccia Prada’s nuanced designs, and testing hair and makeup from the grand Hôtel Le Marois. “Absolutely wonderful, amazing place,” they say, reflecting on the preparatory process. “Seeing the flawless clothes from Miuccia on the hangers in this space made me feel like a princess in a castle.”

Top Left: Seeing the flawless clothes from Miuccia on the hangers in this space made me feel like a princess in a castle. Top Right: The outfit? With the glasses, I’m not going to lie, it was definitely something I would wear personally. Bottom Left: The next day, I was on the hair test on the ground floor of this  building. This season, the inspiration was like you woke up late and didn’t have time to brush your hair. Bottom Right: Fittings for the show were at the Hôtel Le Marois. Absolutely wonderful, amazing place. I was literally obsessed with the paintings of angels all around the walls.
