Watch David Richardson's film inspired by the luxurious, sentimental Celine Haute Parfumerie Collection.

Hedi Slimane’s olfactory journal embodies the memory of emotions. For Celine’s newest perfume collection, the French house drew on personal and sentimental experiences to create a range of unique fragrances; nine scents are currently available with two pending releases later in 2020. Topped with emblematic notes from classic French perfumery of the ’70s, the Haute Parfumerie collection incorporates a range of scents including tree moss, iris, and rose accord. Slimane attributes six perfumes to daytime and three for evening wear, although he encourages individual exploration of aromatic preferences. The perfume bottle design encompasses a distinct minimalism that draws on Art Deco through taut geometric lines, weighted transparent glass, and a slight contrasting black lacquer cap. Slimane worked with his perfumers to formulate a highly personal collection of objects that act as luxurious companions of the private life. The heart of the collection is grounded in memorializing experience, evoking Slimane’s intent to create authentic reminiscence of fleeting moments, places, and people.
