For Document, the lo-fi DJ and producer premieres his latest music video off his recent EP, Ambition

A spotlight looms on New York’s Baltra, cross-legged on the floor of a hotel room wallpapered in florals. “Will you be,” he repeats into a telephone, its cream spiraling cord splayed across his arm. He strides through the halls of the hotel onto the streets, sulking across Midtown to his rather melodic rave anthem.

For Document, the lo-fi DJ and producer premieres his latest video for the aptly titled final track, “Will You Be?,” off his recent release, Ambition. The song is the most sonically cinematic and, not incidentally, his wife-turned-director’s favorite from the five-track EP.

The song and accompanying video grapple with the dichotomies of hope and despair in isolation. “It’s easy to find yourself in what feels like a dystopic, dream-like realm where you begin to question more than you probably should,” Baltra remarks. “In the end, you discover that love and affirmation are what you’ve been seeking all along.”
