Salehe Bembury’s collection for the co-creation platform launches today, exploring the playful side of utility across an earthy palette

Moncler Genius’s next chapter emerged from the wilderness—a ready-to-wear collection by Salehe Bembury, balancing the character of the great outdoors with utilitarian luxury. Titled ēquipements, the line was inspired by mountaineering gear from Moncler’s late-’50s archive. An avid hiker himself, Bembury took to its codes, venturing towards “an exploration of palette, shape, and utility,” in the designer’s own words.

That journey culminated in a range of innovative pieces, as well as accessories and footwear—Bembury’s forte. Across an earthy palette, “plucked straight from the trail,” Moncler presents tactical vests, teddy fleeces, logo knit hats, and collarless parkas, the latter featuring Bembury’s signature ‘grain’ thumbprint—the quilting curves organically, lending a playfulness to an otherwise traditional garment. The Trailgrip is reimagined in moss green and burnt orange, translating to a sneaker equally at home in the forest as it is on the street.

“This campaign is a dialogue about humanizing luxury,” Bembury said of the collaboration. “My goal is to harmoniously balance Moncler DNA with the heritage of the outdoors. This collection embodies a juxtaposition of ethos rarely seen in either environment.”

Moncler Genius x Salehe Bembury touches down in selected Moncler stores and on moncler.com from July 14.
