Designer Erdem Moralıoğlu takes Document behind the scenes of his royalty-inspired and jazz-infused Spring/Summer 2018 collection with this exclusive photo diary, giving an intimate look into the studio preparations and hectic backstage.

Amongst brocade coats and ethereal dresses adorned with flowery motifs, Moralıoğlu wove in the story of a queen and a duke, educating us all on the affable and surprising friendship that occurred between Queen Elizabeth II and jazz icon Duke Ellington in 1958. Moralıoğlu was also heavily inspired by the Harlem Renaissance, replete with glamorous 1930s cocktail dresses and gloves to match, giving an enlivened spirit to the modern glamor that has become ubiquitous to his eponymous label.
