The Louis Vuitton Catogram collection features Grace Coddington's illustrations of her beloved cats Pumpkin and Blanket, as well as Nicolas Ghesquière's dear dog Léon.

The fashion world knows Grace Coddington loves her Persian cats, Pumpkin and Blanket, with whom she’s lived, along with her partner Didier Malige. They were the subjects of the 2006 book that she illustrated (Malige was the photographer), The Catwalk Cats. In May 2016, the legendary stylist made a glass cat head the bottle cap and put her illustrations on the dust cover of Grace by Grace Coddington, her perfume for Comme des Garçons. Back in 2012, she collaborated with Nicolas Ghesquière while he was at Balenciaga on an electric orange handbag and cream scarf that were both covered with her illustrations of Pumpkin doing various activities for Fashion’s Night Out. Ghesquière—who has his own adored pet, a dog named Léon—loved it so much that he invited his friend to work with him on a line for Louis Vuitton.

Last night Louis Vuitton, Ghesquière, and Coddington celebrated the collection at the pop-up shop with a cocktail, followed by an intimate dinner attended by Document editor-in-chief Nick Vogelson, Julianne Moore, Sofia Coppola, Karen Elson, Michelle Williams, and more.

Launching on November 2 with a pop-up shop on 9th Avenue in New York’s Meatpacking District, the Catogram capsule collection will feature Coddington’s playful illustrations of her beloved cats Pumpkin and Blanket, as well as Ghesquière’s dog Léon on a line of ready-to-wear and accessories. There’s a set of chic black silk pajamas featuring the illustrations atop Louis Vuitton’s iconic print of the LV monogram, quatrefoils, and Japanese-style flowers. There’s also leathergoods—handbags and cardholders—as well as fun high top sneakers and boots. Travel enthusiasts can go for the luxe travel bag and lambswool blanket.
