Last May, Norwegian artist Bjarne Melgaard and creative director Babak Radboy teamed up to launch a pop-up shop in the Austrian countryside brimming with items centered around the two’s on-going obsession with art, fashion, and commercialism—featuring goods such as custom stuffed animals, defaced 80s advertisements, and perforated sweat suits, t-shirts, and bags. Melgaard and RadBoy are not new to fashion: Melgaard has collaborated with Proenza Schouler, Eckhaus Latta, and began his own line in 2014; Radboy is the creative director of Telfar. These streetwear staples will now be available Stateside as Melgaard and Radboy are taking over the VFILES store, located at 12 Mercer St, on March 17th at 7pm, filling the entire store with thousands of sweat suits, t shirts, tote bags, and stuffed animals—all priced to move. Go get your hands on some holey goods.
